gas milage again!! LOL

seems like im getting better and better milage the more miles i put on my SS. anyone seeing the same thing? i remember the first tank it was reading 15mpg, now im at 9k miles and it reading 20.2mpg. the werid part is i dont do much hwy driving, 95% city driving, and i always drive it to have fun.i guess you could say i ALOMST drive it like i stole it, ie i dont smoke the tires and i avoid doing damage to it, but i do get on it quite a bit. i dont hypermile or anything like that. do you guys reset the avg mpg with each fill up? maybe i need to do that, to make it read more accurate?

I'm sure your mileage is getting better. If your spirited driving in the city alot, you should see between 19-24 mpg. Yes reset you avg mpg every fill up to get accurate economy.

I've never seen less than 26mpg "driving for fun", but I do spend 66% of the time on the highway.

I'm getting my first oil change this weekend. I think several people posted that their MPG increased once they got their first oil change.
