Well,if you still have one HHR left, then you're still in the family! Seriously though,it is sad to see one leave. I know we will still see you here because your new ride shares the same platform as the HHR.Good Luck with the new ride! Don't be a stranger. Now if you need to unload those Pedders(my next planned mod)you can call me at ............

Why a somewhat lateral move? Same platform, drivetrain, just preferred the Cobalt body?

Strangely enough I came from a Cobalt SS/SC .

It's not quite 300 pounds plus...

Looking at the specs, it is 233 pounds lighter for the coupe... and 183 pounds for the 4-door.

so maybe 2 tenths quicker in the 1/4 with the cobalt if they had the same Horsepower
But dont forget about the huge aerodynamic advantage with the HHR, Just kidding.
Congrats on the new ride, where you just looking for a change?

not sure what specs you're looking at but every one i'm finding has the 2008 HHR SS curb weight = 3280lbs. (manual) & 3353lbs. (automatic)

http://autos.yahoo.com/chevrolet/hhr...fications.html

2009 Cobalt SS Turbo coupe = 2926lbs

http://autos.yahoo.com/chevrolet/cob...fications.html

2009 Cobalt SS Turbo sedan = 2981lbs

http://autos.yahoo.com/chevrolet/cob...fications.html

there's plenty of other references i've found on www.google.com

I don't like his username being so close to mine.

My math and the figures above show they're legit.

well back in 08 when gm was giving cars away @ 0% financing and 0 down, i got my wifes. then two days later, the salesman told me i could get one too. had i known this i would have gotten a cobalt then. didn't know they were out yet, just had heard they were coming out. i like the styling and looks. the inside of the hhrss is MUCH nicer imo than the cobalt. when i saw a white one i really wanted one and this one came along with the right numbers($30 more per month and an extra year to pay. i had 2.5 years to go now i will have 3.5).
