note: After the first change I will be doing all my own oil changes which I have done on all my cars for years.
Actually, that is a rip. I buy my Mobil 1 at Walmart for $24+ and take my car to the dealer. They charge me $14 for a new filter and the oil change so I spend $38+ total.

Actually that is a rip !!! I pay 20 dollars for Mobil 1 and 4 dollars and some change for the OEM filter. I change it myself. It costs $25 + total and the used oil goes to Auto Zone....so no disposal fee.

Thats an amazing price....Thats about what a standard (non coupon/special) oil change costs around here.

The oil and filter have to be close to $30.00 + disposal fee. there not making any money at that price:)
They also buy oil in bulk containers not quarts or gallons...so they get a break on the price that you don't so that helps the bottom line and remember if Wal-Mart sells a quart for $5 they are only paying $2.50.

Went to my dealer yesterday...

to get my "FREE" service on the SS. An hour and a half into it the service manager comes to tell me since this is a turbo car it will require mobile 1. The "FREE" service does not include special oils. It will be about an extra $50!!! I tell him to wait a minute and I go ask the sales manager "where in the flyer does it say spacial oils are extra?" The sales manager looks for a while and says this is the first he has heard of this. Long story short they took care of the extra costs, but my "1 hour" wait time for oil change and rotation turned into 2 1/2 hours.

Because the local dealer gives me a "VIP discount" ($10 bucks off), I "only" pay a bit over $107 for my oil changes on my SRT10s. They require at least 10 quarts of Mobil 1.

yeah but sounds like after waiting 2 1/2 for a simple oil change your still losing out. sounds like you should start using another dealership to deal with.

my local oil change place does a full synthetic change for 50 bucks everyday price.

Have you guys ever gotten an engine flush, or is this a scam and waste of money?
