just got back from PepBoys and picked up 5 qts of Pennzoil Synthetic Oil
5W-30 and a Pure One Oil Filter (PL15436) for the total of $26.50 and you also get a $7.00 mail in rebate, so for a TOTAL of $19.50, I think this is a great deal. 2 rebates offers per household, will be going back this week to get another set.

Sounds good to me. Mobil 1 was $22.88 at Walmart and a Fram filter about $6. Too bad there are no Pep Boys in my neighborhood.

 

Great Deal!.If I didnt loathe Pennz I would snatch that up. I just got 5 quarts of Mobil 1 for $22 (wally'smart) and a wix O/F for $4.98.

Thanks for the tip. Does anyone know if they carry Royal Purple Synthetic. I run Royal Purple in all my cars and swear by it.

One word of warning regarding Fram Oil Filters. I saw more than one Fram Filter FAIL causing oil pressure to drop to 0. Now this was on a couple drag cars running Big Block Chevy's but if someone gave me one I'd throw it in the trash. I run Baldwin filters on everything. They are hard to find and I haen't checked to see if they make a filter for the SS yet. Wix and NAPA are good if you go with their top of the line filter.
