i just relized my hand brake doesnt go back down on its own, is this normal? and im pushing the release button, but shouldnt it kinda pull back down after im holdin the button in? it just drops aobut half way then i have to push it down the rest of the way. its not very hard to push i just dont remember if it has always been like that.

 

I have never let a hand brake drop. I always push it down while pushing the button on any vehicle.

Here's what the owners manual says:

To release the parking brake, hold the brake pedal down. Pull the parking brake lever up until you can press the release button. Hold the release button in as you move the brake lever all the way down.

 

I always push mine down.

 

first time Chevy owner? I've had two Camaros and in both of them I had to push the lever down after pushing the button.
