I just bought new stockers from Crate engine depot. I thought about going with a firmer aftermarket mount, but there have been some coments about increased vibration and I just drive too far to put up with that. Plus over the long haul it might rattle stuff loose. I know the guys that built mine the torque specs were optional... lol

There was a thread about using a Cobalt TTR insert in the stock mount and it sounded like it worked. I emailed TTR to confirm and they said a user did it, but they cant endorese using them, and I wasnt taking the risk.

Get our Upper engine mount... It is not what you are thinking of "solid" (metal on metal)... But it is much more rigid than stock, it does have a poly bushing in there.

True solid would be horrable, we dont sell such a product.

Next get the "STOP rotated tranny mounts" we carry. They are a direct replacement.

We sell many of these setups each day.

Those do not fit the 2.0L HHR SS Turbo. Nor do they fit the 2.0L Cobalt Turbo. They only fit the SS/SC cobalt.

STOP tranny mounts fir the HHR SS Turbo

I"ve been running the TTR upper mount for a couple of years now, and the vibs are barley noticable, and will not cause problems. Go ahead and get the TTR upper mount. Makes the power more managable, and weel worth it. "Moon"

It will cut it down a lot, if not all :)

Solid is a term that can be used here, as the stock is floppy! Solid does not mean metal on metal, it means rigid, or firm, or little to no movement.
