Get a tinted clearcoat for a black chrome look. You can vary the tint as dark as you like.

X2 on the Black! Given your first two choices I would have to say Graphite.

Of the two origional options, I'd say graphite. IMO, if you have red badges...red wheels would be the cats azz.

Gold offers more contrast than graphite.

Out of all the vehicles I've owned over the years, the HHR SS is the one where I'd be the least likely to change the wheels at all. They are that awesome.

If your chevy emblems are still gold, you could get gold overlays for whatever emblems you have left and get the wheels powder coated gold. It would make your SS look like a gold edition model.
I do like graphite wheels (apparently), but EVERYONE has graphite/gun metal/black wheels. So if you want to be a little unique making a "gold edition" would be pretty cool.

Please make sure its a gold color not yellow

The bowties are black and the SS logos are red. Im so confused now lol. I just might do them gloss black and get it over with. (and i told myself no black haha)

Well i know one refinisher here that does it. They also can do a chrome powdercoat if the wheels arent chrome originally.

if your emblems were still gold. i would do the gold. thinking about getting my stockers back on and turning my emblems back to gold. i have the black and red scheme going as well, but with aftermarket wheels. only gold i would do would be a "light shiny" gold...not gold as in gold with a dull look. other words,i would powder coat gold like the emblems.
