Wink HHR SS is defective

Test rode a couple HHR SS and they all seem to have the same flaw!
Every time you take off the tires squeal like a Banshee and smoke pours out of the front tires only! :O The rear tires don't smoke or make noise ! And they seem to have a acceleration issue as well always wanting to do 65mph in a 25 mph zone! Is this a common problem with all SS models?
And yea I do think it is one quick little buggy
So it may be on my shopping list even with all the issues

Yep, they make quick work of a new set of tires......but that grin is hard to get off your face....

Wait till you throw a tune on one, if it's any consolation mine is getting 33mpg average, the best I can do in the panel is 25.6mpg.......

Discount Tire loves me......

I had the same feeling about the bone stock auto I test drove....then I got it twice more through different tunes....the jump from untuned to tuned was just as much fun as going from a 2.4 to a 2.0 turbo

Well we better let NHTSA know, and who wants to call 20/20?

This sounds like a huge defect just waiting to strike unsuspecting motorists, image someone jumping from a Prius into such a dangerous vehicle, think of the carnage, think of the trees that would go un-hugged.......

And if you step up to an E47 Ethanol tune, after having a gasoline tune,
You gain another 30-35 horses, to put you back, into your seat, giving you 450' lbs of torque, when the million gigowatt, Flux capacitor kicks in...

Sleeper WOW I never knew it would lose that much in mpg! Guess I take a visor off my list !

From a non SS owner I was really impressed with the performance of the SS.. A very fast and nice handling car, but the added cost for the SS plus the added tickets I would get :) I think will keep me looking for a 1/2 Panel as my addon car. But bot is the SS fun :) so? :)

I'm keeping the visor, I like looking at it. My old truck only got 10mpg, 25 is great...

I guess I am worried about the tranny...I mean the tune wouldn't be that expensive...I have a handful of gas stations that have e85 near me now...so that wouldn't be an issue...Do you just put 8 gallons of e85, and then 8 gallons of 93? seems simple enough...
