HHR SS turbo replacement how to?
The turbo in my HHR SS is starting to go and I'm looking to replace it myself before I sell it. I haven't been able to find a how to video on here or anywhere. Can anyone help me out?

Pretty much a bolt on R&R procedure. The hard part is getting access room and having the correct tools. The turbo is tucked in pretty tight by the firewall.
Probably easier if you have a vehicle lift to use. |
I was looking at it the other day and it is in a tight spot. Glad I dont need to replace it.

Here's info from the Cobalt SS site, this person is upgrading to a larger turbo, but tells you what to do to remove the OEM part as the Cobalt and HHR are cousins:

What symptoms are telling you that your turbo is going bad?

labor time to replace turbo is 6 hours.
