HHR value

Hey everybody, my wife’s uncle passed recently and I found out he left us a a car. It’s a 2009 SS panel with a manual transmission and about 35k miles. He was a stickler for taking care of stuff and the thing looks brand new. Any suggestions on how to actually figure out what it is worth? I believe only 200ish SS panels were made, and only about 60 with the manual trannie. Obviously KBB isn’t going to give me a true value, so I was hoping someone on here might help me figure it out. Thanks!

Sorry for for your loss, very sad news

2009 was the only year GM built the SS panel, total 216. This makes it fairly rare, depending on condition it might be upwards of $25,000 USD it might get higher, it might bring lower as the economy cools off.

we have a marketplace , post photos and an asking price, be sure it’s available from the estate to be picked up or shipped! Low mileage and 14 years old , it might need some parts replaced, tires , brake hoses, that kind of thing.

The value is whatever you think it is worth.
KBB will give you an estimated value. $ 8 - 12k
Car or cash, tough choice.
If it were me, I would keep it as these are great little vehicles.
Pictures that would be a great help.

Bring A Trailer is an auction site, it might bring serious money there!

I’ll go with the possibility that you might consider selling it, even though you haven’t said so.

If Bring A Trailer or Hagerty will take it, auction it. If you’re keeping it, they still might be able to help you evaluate it.

It’s impossible to guess the value for the car, and if you try to sell it yourself, you’ll encounter all sorts of sharks and tire kickers, as you have a rather desirable car.

Also, don’t be offended at skepticism, because if yours is a scam, it won’t be the first one involving an HHR SS Panel. They’re pretty rare and coveted.

Please do post a few pics here, though. Just a few shots inside and out and some of the members here can give you a pretty good guess. Hint- anyone who knocks the car wants to buy it, lol.

If you can afford to keep it, and you’re a car buff, keep it. You won’t be sorry.

If you can afford to keep it and you could use a hard asset in your porfolio, keep it. You won’t be sorry.

If you keep it, please do respect it and store it indoors, climate-controlled and secure.

Thanks for the advice y’all. The vehicle is currently in Washington. I will have to fly up and drive it down when I get a chance. For now it is in my wife’s other uncle’s garage. I am in Loxley. As soon as I can get some pictures of it, I will post them in the forum so everybody knows I am not faking it! 🤣🤣

Washington state. I am probably going to leave it in his garage until June when I get my new vacation time.

Loxley. You’re just down the road from me. I’m in Fairhope.
I would love to see this car in person when you get it.
