How Long Was Your SS on Order
I searched on the GM Supplier website for one optioned like I wanted and found two identical cars. One in Lodi (hour drive) and one in Sacramento (hour and a half). Emailed both dealers for a quote and Lodi seemed like a better deal so I was going to get that one but when I went to pick it up it wasn't ready. Said when they prepped it a check engine light came on, some defective part. They ordered it and 2 days later it was fixed then they test drove it and the light came on again. Had to order another part and would take a week. By then I had decided to get a different car. Went to Sacramento the following saturday. Got the same exact car and a better deal. Mine was also built 03/08
Dealer actully found my husband's for him up in Michigan. It has most of the stuff we asked for on it except for the 6-disc changer I wanted. No big deal! 99% of the time we are listening to his MP3 player. It had a couple of things on it that my husband didn't want and that's the black smoke pinstripes and the roof rack. But after the dealership made the trade with the other dealer and got the HHR here, when we went to pick it up, it was better looking then what I thought it was going to be. Husband thought the samething after seeing it. It's Victory Red and I think the pinstripes and the roof rack break up the color, which I like better then it just being one big soild color. I did find the date "Mickey" was made, 3/08.

Placed the order at the dealer Saturday March 1st, they put the order in the system on the 3rd. Picked it up on April 4th. The car was built on 3/14.
