Been reading this board since mar of 06 and finally joined.

I have an 08 Black SS

I have only seen a total of 7 SS's on the road since Sept 2nd, 2008.
I have seen (2) Black, (1) Red, and (1) Orange (just saw this am!) in St Charles IL - where I work.

Seen (1) Black and (1) Blue out in Rockford by where I live.

Saw only one on I90 by Schaumburg at Thanksgiving.

Since I drive a lot (outside Sales), it amazes me how few I see.

Anyone else know how many they have encountered?

In my area, just 1 besides me (a black one).

 

Not many--but ironically it has been only SS driver's who have waved at me.

So other then the ones in the SoCal group (4-5 at last count including an AA5 SS), haven't really seen many myself on the road.

I've seen 2 in the 5 months that I've had my SS. I've done one long 10-day road trip through California (and didn't see any there) - the 2 I've seen were local and were both bought at the same dealership as mine. That dealership had a black auto SS sitting on their lot for at least 5 months so I know they're not selling quickly here.

Definitely a rare sight! Funny though, I hardly get any looks or comments on mine even though it's "in-your-face-red" and always polished and shiny. I think it's pretty eye-catching, but I had way more people talk to me about my WRX wagon than my SS.

 

2 for me, one black auto on the 404 heading into Toronto, and another one up by the Barrie Molson Center.

I've got a black 5spd.

 

I've seen one red one in Chicago, three local black ones, two local red ones.

 

i have seen 0 hhr ss on long island but i have seen a **** load of cobalt ss.

Maybe just one or 2 , wasnt parked too far from another black hhr ss at the nascar race at michigan speedway this past august. :surprised

 

there is a black one that i see every day on the way to work parked in a driveway, ive seen a silver one by my job, another black on e by a Loews and an orange one at the mall. So only 4 in the past year
