I had a busy weekend with the SS.

Friday night my friend invited us to go to the track to watch some drag racing. When we got to the Greatlakes Dragaway it turned out I could run my car if i wanted for $30 unlimited passes. So I figured what the heck. Mind you I had a full tank of gas, 3 car seats, and the hatch contained just about every imaginable childrens accessory you could think of. Plus, this was my first time ever running on the track. I have come to the conclusion that the stock tires provide absolutely no traction on a hard launch which is evident by my 60 foot times. My reaction times pretty much stunk too, but over all i was impressed with my performance. My best run was a 14.07 1/4 at 97.7 mph. My highest mph was 99.66 in the 1/4 mile which is shown on my slips below. The track I was at only provides your half of the slip since people get really wierd about others knowing there times.
All passes were done with launch control on.
My two best passes were done with no-lift shift.

So Saturday I ended up attending the midwest compact show at Crate Engine Depot and I dyno'd my car. I am stock except for the GMPP Stage 1 tune.

My best of three was 257whp and 281wtq. These were a little lower than I expected, but still respectable. There is a photo of the dyno screen below, since they had no printer on site. I will get a actual print out from them in the next few weeks(thanks Tom)

I am going to try to make it during the week sometime depending on how late I work each night but will get it Saturday if not. I'll call them to see how late they are open tomorrow.

Can't wait to see my times with the GM tune. The power band is awesome. people die for a lot of HP but when the dyno goes up fast a drops off fast, it shows in their ET's. nice power band.

Nice times, Glad to see there are still tracks that let you take a car out and run it. Something does seem a bit off with the last time slip. Could that possibly 14.87? Don't mean any disrespect, but the 1000 ft mark was .2 slower at the same mark when you ran, what appears to be, a 14.675.

Has anyone else with just a tune run? I would expect numbers around 14.3 with the stage 1. Unfortunately, we only have 1/8 mile around here, just not the same.

The slip says 14.071 in 2 spots. It is alot clearer on the originals. I was toying around a little with the shifting, but the only real difference in that run and the others is that I was in the left lane, and I held third gear just a little longer. It could be wrong, but all I have to go by is the timeslip. No disrect taken.
