I do believe you need a bigger master cylinder for this swap...

I wouldnt be surprised if gm came out with a brake upgrade kit also

Brembo's require the stock 18" SS forged wheel to provide enough clearance for the caliper. I have sourced a set of 17" wheels for winter tires from Tire Rack and only certain of their 17" wheels have adequate clearance on the wheel spokes for the brembo caliper, which sticks out a lot further than a non-Brembo caliper.

are you sure a larger master cylinder is needed? i mean isn't there a vendor here that sells like a 14" kit with no MC upgrade?

Master cylinder upgrade not needed. Mine have worked perfect from day one with no balance issues or increased pedal travel. Have about 15,000 miles on them and very satisfied with the performance. Just remember to apply the supplied anti-squeal compound to the backing plates and shims. (Mine have always been quiet, others complain of noise which is due to inadequate application of the compound).

no clue on the master cylinder of an LS, but then again, this is the SS area. anyway, the brake kit you're thinking of is from TCE, and it's a 13" kit, not 14". judging from the fact Todd at TCE has kits in use for non-SS HHRs and doesn't sell them with a different master cylinder, i would conclude one is not needed there either.

You have Brembos in the rear? Did you order the GM set mentioned on page 2? What about using the calipers (brembos), but doing cross-drilled and vented rotors (front and back)?

If you are asking me, no just the front. I imagine the vented rear rotors and matching calipers off the Cobalt would fit just fine though.

That;s exactly what I am wondering. I thought about ordering it through GM, but I am not sure...and I am sure they wont tell me...if it would definitely work in the back.
