I am now with the lucky few or many, that is waiting on a new turbo. This is is 3rd visit for a no boost issue. They finally decided just to replace the turbo. It's been 2 weeks I am still waiting on a turbo and the dealer has no idea when a new one will come in. The car is DEAD STOCK and was serviced by the dealer every 5,000 miles. It only has 13,000 miles on it. Once GM files for BK they can take this car with them.

Oh geez, that's terrible. Can you drive it though? You would think the dealers would be turning handsprings to keep their current customers happy and on the road telling others exactly that!

Man, I really hope I don't get caught in this category! So far, 7k and so far so good, only noise from the BOV on release after spring install. I don't know what I'd do if mine took a dump!

I talked to my friend who works for Borg Warner (the supplier for our turbos) and he mentioned that this turbo is one of their most reliable as long as you aren't messing around with the little screws on the back of the turbo.

But who knows, times change, production gets shifted to Mexico, and reliability goes down the crapper.
Ohh crap....I just realized our whole vehicle is built in Mexico!

Built IN Mexico, sure. But who's building them, though? I think all the Mexicans are in the US now...

The Koreans.

I am not kidding. I know a guy who does work for MFG in plants and he has said they have growing group of Korean workers in Mexico.

I wonder what they put in their taco's?
