My comments center upon the fact that it appears to be less than a perfect solution. Others forum members have commented and complained about long installation delays, return visits for check engine lights, maintenance techs that are not familiar with the installation and wiring harness modifications that result in other problems. Now there's this intercooler pipe problem that results from improper installation.
No thank you.
I rely on my HHR to get me to work daily and have 26K miles on it since April 08 without a single problem. I recognize the brake issue (and so does my wife) and neither of us go into a panic if we have to push on the brake pedal a little harder. All drama aside, that's all it takes.

My fix- Let the car warm up for a few seconds (in Park). Find a pleasant radio station. Check your hair in the mirror. Then slip the car into gear and go.

hyperv6, if you are happy with your decision to have the vacuum pump installed, that's great. Just please stop trying to sell me on this procedure.
If that is your choice that is fine. But please do not lead others to think the fix does not work because it does.

You need to work on your reading comprehension-

I shared my opinions about this brake issue as it relates to me.

If others (including you) are satisfied with the effectiveness of the fix and the quality of the installation work on their cars, that's great.

My opinion is that I'll pass on this 'fix' since the negatives outweigh the benefits.

What other decide is obviously up to them.

Ease up on this guys, If you want the fix...do it. If you can live with the problem and give yourself time for the brakes to boost up...fine too. Some have all the time in the world, others not so much. To each their own and the brake fix will work if the install is done in the proper procedure. Let's not say it won't work because a mechanic may have inadvertantly missed something. To err is Huma...oh you know.
