I'm thinking it'll come out with a very good PDR guy, but it'll need a little paint work regardless. I did find out something fun, but not so fun today with it. Previous owner had a FE1/3 style LCA in the passenger side, the ball joint was bolted to the arm, and it didn't seem to be the same material as the factory on the drivers side. The wheel has been ****ed to the right since we picked it up, and it had a pretty good clunk/sway to it over bumps. I assumed struts and just got em, well BIG SURPRISE today lol. Thankfully a dealer not far from home had a LCA in stock on a saturday. It's all back together now, even after the damn rear bolt just spinning. My wife drove it back home, she had her first ever race! A modded Focus ST wanted to play, she did a 3rd gear roll and pulled on him a little at first, then she shifted and he was pulling away. Still love this thing even in stock form. Little more to sort out with it, but for sub 6k this is an awesome little car.

Good thing you took care of that LCA problem, and your wife is having fun racing the SS! Keep us up to date about that PDR issue.

Being an 08 over 100k, I'm very leery of modding it at all before having the cash in hand for either a Gen 3 short block or LDK long block. At the most, I'd want to do a CAI, catless DP, GM 3 bar map, zzp fmic, clutch/flywheel. I'd like to make 330whp+, not opposed to E47, or even a ported head combo if cheap enough lol.

A previous friend took me for a ride in his 16 i think? GTI apr stage 2, since then I've wanted to put buses on that thing lmao.

since you have the 5 speed manual you can get very close to those numbers easier than the autos. I've read on here a few ppl only did the following to get close to 330fwhp:
gut/hollow the 2nd cat and tune for e47 or e50 mix and you're basically there.

i'm at least over 300fwhp in my auto 2010 ss and I only have tune on e50 and hollowed 2nd cat running 21psi and about 21-22 degrees of timing.
