I thought the Dorman fobs won’t work for the TPMS match procedure.

 

The Dorman programmer works with OEM fobs also.

 

Some of the included fobs are trash. It seems that the one with a LED on the board don't do the TPMS and maybe RVS, and some send false low battery signal.
I always suggest to buy a Genuine remote to go with the Dorman kit.

I have replacement fobs from a junk 2011 HHR LT and want to program them to work on my 2011 HHR LS.
IS this something I can do myself or does the procedure require special tool or skills?

 

Maybe post good pictures, Front and back. Then we can help you figure out if they're OE or aftermarket.

 

Short answer : not a DIY job no matter what the interwebs want you to think.

 

A GM dealer or a locksmith, or that Dorman programmer should address that.
You can have up to 4 fobs to one HHR follow the directions on the instruction page

 

That is 4 ever, the memory must be erased if 4 have already been programmed by previous owners.

 

Right and don’t the instructions indicate or explain that?
