Just about every other Chevy SS has a grill emblem - why not us?

I got an extra liftgate emblem and mounted it in the grill.
I didn't trust just the double backed tape, so I lifted the white overlay and drilled and countersunk 2 small holes.
I threaded 2 small screws into a flat backing plate (behind the grill) that I made from scrap.
Then I just glued the white overlay back down and 'presto'...

I'm sure I'm not the first to try this, but I thought I'd share anyway...

That look great..... Factory should have done this, but then yours wouldn't be unique.

I blacked out my bowtie and added the red SS inside, you can see it in my gallery pics

I was just going to suggest putting the SS in the center of the bowtie, but you beat me to it.

I like this better than the SS in the bowtie. With the SS in the bowtie it looks too "busy" to me; this setup looks clean and is a throwback to the SS's of the old days. Nice job!

What did you use to make the emblem?
