Looking for a AA5 SS? Or Aqua/IBM SS?

I've been lurking here for many months but due to a family death I have not been able to move forward with purchase until this fall.

Sure would appreciate if you could respond with any solid rear quarter panel HHR SSs you know of that are still available in your area. New/slightly pre-owned/GM Certified are all OK; will travel for right options/price. I've been searching on the internet but finding very few...hoping there are still some that I can't find online. The Cash for Clunkers program seems to have reduced options.

Just send me a PM or reply with name of dealer/seller & town/state; I will google for more info. Or if you have link to webpage that would be great.

I just missed out on a loaded Aqua AA5 with Brembos in Michigan, but I guess it was not to be...yet!!! I'd prefer a manual trans but I can't be too picky now that the model year has ended.

Thanks for any help in advance,
Dan

PS If you see any Imperial Blue or Aqua HHR SSs (non-AA5 are OK) I maybe interested also, depending on options.

did you see this AA5 IBM on eBay? In San Diego, pretty far from you (Chicago?) but it's there waiting for a new owner to come along and drive it away...

Thanks...and keep them coming!

Thanks for the quick replies!

That aqua SS at Sunrise is very near me...they must of just gotten it in a late 2009 as I have checked all local dealers in last 2 days. In Chicagoland most are rear-windowed black or red autos(no offend, I like blue)...no AA5s that I can locate via internet or phone. I definitely will check this one out.

The IBM AA5 in Cali is sold already, probably just haven't updated their website.

Thanks again for the responses...and keep them coming! I appreciate it much,
Dan

Talking have you tried to build your own and order it through your dealer?

I thought I'd attach this pic to say "You mean like this one?"

Yeah, I went through my dealer and ordered mine. At the time, I waited for the performance display and waited forever. Once I canceled that option it came right in. You still may be able to order one the way you want it. I went to the Edmunds site and built a 2010 just like mine and they still had the AA5 listed as an option. There is no more panel SS for 2010. Plus the price went up only slightly.

Pappa Smurf,

IMHO that is a great looking car! The one that got away from me was very similar with a sunroof also.

Doesn't seem to be too many AA5s that I haven't already found...and most of those are 1000+ miles from me. I will travel up to 500-ish miles for the right car.

Hope all you are enjoying your HHR SSs, and hoping to join you soon,
Dan

The original dealership I went to in Glendale, AZ had a few SS's, including one in IBM and one in ABM. Almost bought the ABM SS, but they couldn't get the price into my price range. Anyway, looks like they still have the IBM SS in stock:

Thanks for the leads so far!

The aqua SS at Sunrise was pre-sold and was just transferred to their dealership prior to delivery. So I am back to step one...

While you're all out there enjoying your sweet rides, if you notice any HHR SSs hiding in the back of a dealership or for sale in a local newspaper let me know. I'm scanning the internet up and down almost daily for newly listed SSs. Pre-owned is Ok if in good condition.

Thanks,
Dan

Does it have to be stock or would some extra HP interest you?
