Looking at a ss

Looking at a ss and I have a couple of questions.

Does the ss have arm rests in the seats?

Does it require premium fuel or can lower grade work?

Would this be ok as my daily driver 70+ miles a day during the week, or should I keep my 08 LT with the 2.2?

Why is the automatic detuned, what would it take to get the 260 hp back?

Thanks, Bobkatz.

Automatic does. Some with the 5 speed have put the arm rests in.

Premium is recommended not required unless you get the stage 1 upgrade.

It would be fine as a daily driver. Mine is.

Who knows but get the stage 1 upgrade and you are up to 290 hp.

the automatic is detuned, so they can sell you the upgrade.

The upgrade was $600 installed so well worth it. For some of us, manual transmission would have been preferred but it wasn't an option.

For those of us in the Mid East this is a must have option in the winter

I really liked the 5 speed, but it didn't have any armrests and it didn't have the remote start. Both of those things I have in my current hhr and use pretty often. My hhr sits outside in the winter and it's nice to jump in a warm car and take off.

I have the dealer with the 5 speed wanting to make a deal, but I told him I was driving the auto in the morning and wanted armrests. He is pretty willing to work on the price, the sticker is 27K and some change, marked down to 24K with 0% and is willing to work on the price more when I come back.

The dealer with the auto was asking 21900 two weeks ago but wouldn't do the 0%, now he will do 0% but I'm not sure what the adjusted price will be.

I'm thinking about getting the dealer to throw in the stage 1 kit to sweeten the deal, has anyone had any luck getting that from a dealer? And is it something they need to order. I would like to drive it for a couple of days and get a feel for it before I have it put on.
