I have the system dude; It is 3" from front to back. It is 3" at the bends also. it was not compromised at all at the bends. Very good welds, and very nice piece of work. Fits very well. The tip is exactly like the one that the vehicle comes with, Just 4" in diameter. I just had to have them put a slight dent right at the coil spring support. It was nocking against this, but was a very minor,easy fix. Not to mention it is one of the best sounding exhaust I have ever heard. "No i don't work for Magnaflow." LOL
I bought it in March. I actually was one of the first to order. I was one out of 50. Only 50 pieces were made in the beginning because of economy crap. It cost cheaper for them to make more out of one pipe than making one at a time. So, It took about four months for me to get it in,on my ride, and driving. I paid for it in March, and didn't get it on my ride it felt like forever.

409 and 304 stainless. The 409 stainless steel is is a widely used material for exhaust systems due to its resistance to rust and corrosion, but its surface will discolor to a light brown over time and is not suggested for aesthetic purposes. The 304 stainless steel is used to resist any type of surface corrosion and keep its polished look for a extended amount of time. Therefore, 304 stainless costs more but keeps its polished look considerably longer than 409 stainless.
eeh its discoloring a bit, but who cares really, its not necessary to have the more expensive 409 on a hhr, really.
its a free flowing 3" exhaust for sure! just have to fix that clunking
