After reading about a few peeps that installed after market eng mounts and immediatly noticing how much better it shifts makes me think the mounts are allowing the eng to roll to the point where its pulling on the cables and causing hard shifts under power,,,,even though I have the auto I can stil feel the motor wiggling around under the hood.....

Ok, I got my HHR back yesterday and I'm happy to say GM has fixed everything! They completely replaced my transmission and the shifting is fantastic now! Heres what the work sheet says

"Remove drain plug and found metal on magnet. Tear down transmission and disassembled for further inspection, found 1st gear, 2nd gear, 3rd gear and 4th gear are pitted. Damage input shaft, output shaft, differential ring gear and synchronizers."

So, I'm not sure what would cause all this damage on a two year old car but I'm super glad it was covered by warranty. Actually I also just learned my car is still covered by the 5yr/100,000mile drivetrain warranty so I'm pretty pumped about that.

Happy to see your on the road. I wonder how it could've gotten so bad? I thought the 5spd was built to handle the power this car makes. Cheers..Happy Motoring!
