Metal grinding noise while driving

Hey guys I was recently gifted the 2009 HHR SS and as soon as I put it into drive and the vehicle starts moving I hear a scraping sound almost like how the brake pads are worn down when you're driving and you hit the brakes and you're grinding the rotors sousnds like that I did find a sticky driver side front caliper but the the sound is coming from all four tires still, does anybody have any idea what this could be? I've taken it to quite a few mechanically inclined people and none of them could figure it out either

Bad hubs.

If the SS has been sitting , yes bad hubs! Corrosion on the brake rotors will also cause the noise but should be obvious.

Yes if it's been sitting for a while and has been raining or damp out it does not take long for the pads to leave some pretty healthy rust patches on the rotors.

Especially semi metallic or metallic pads.

Ditto..

I just changed all the hubs so maybe rotors
I do have another cause/question, the triangular spacer between the hubs and knuckle, if I'm looking at the hub which way is the tab supposed to be oriented? Seems the way they are the tabs are very close into the rotors, passenger front looks like it had been scraping the rotor as well so I bent it back a little, I ask because the gentleman that had the car before me.said he'd just had the brakes done before he had to park it, and I found out the other day the 7 months he said it was sitting was closer to 2 years 😅

That tab covers the wire for the ABS over the larger opening of the steering knuckle

You see it here over the tie rod area of the steering knuckle pointing towards 1 to 2 o’clock

Unless there are different versions of that spacer I have something else on mine, it is literally flat, it would lay flat on the ground, there is just a square area that juts out of one side. If you guys havent heard of that before I'll take a hub off and take a picture.
