Moving back to the mainland in December!!

Ok so I would like to get some winter wheels since I will be driving from Memphis to St. Louis every weekend. What are the smallest wheels that will fit on the SS? Will 15's make it around the brakes or do I need to stick with 16's?

Thanks all, Mark

I can pretty much guarantee 15s will not fit over the brembo calipers, in fact Im surprised the 16s would.

I think smallest would be 16's for non Brembo SS's, 17's are the smallest for Brembo equipped car.

I don't think it would be wise to go from 18's to 15's.

I'd be surprised if 17s fit over the Brembo calipers.

Why o why would you want to roll that small a wheel? Looks alone would stop me.

further, it will add a tremendous amount more milage to your car when those are on it.

It's just for winter tires...why would it add more miles? You just put on 65's instead of 40's.

As long as you roll a larger size tire they it would be GTG without rolling too fast. Just make sure the circum. is nearly the same.

OK got my winter wheels from the local salvage yard. 2002 Saab 9-3 wheels with almost new bridgestone potenzas. $200 total, will probably sell the bridgestones and get some tires more suited for winter. I ship my car from Pearl Harbor to LA the beginning of November.
