Musta been a primo boost day

Doubt if it was a just filled tank of premium i just put in the nite b4, other than it was a brand i never used before (no way wanting to start up 87-91 wars again here )
But i just had to pass a slowpoke on the 55 mph 2 lane a lil ways from my house , I did my thing and went around him/her, and i felt the SS push me back like i never had happen in the 11K miles i've had it .
I know all about the cold/dense air thing, but i have driven in temps and weather similar to this before. Whatever combo it was, it was GREAT!

This morning i tried a lil test again, had to wait in the road for a dump truck to drop a load of gravel in a new home's driveway. When the truck got outa the way, i pushed the right pedal down just short of the end of travel (this was when i was just rollin a lil bit, not a dead stop or at highway speed) The SS hauled like it got spanked!
It had rained overnite, and was humid out(and prob 66 degs) so i had the cooler air/dense thing going on.
That 2.0 sounded extra sweet as i heard the turbo spool up. This is with a auto trans, i could only imagine what a manual woulda been like .

No big great story here, just wanted to share something that made me grin big time

I used to be real nervous when I had to pass on a 2-lane road. Now it is over in a blink of an eye. The only concern is whether any cops saw me make the pass at near light speed.....

Ditto.
With the '03 Silverado w/ a 4.3 V-6 b4 the SS, i had to choose my maneuvers a lil more carefully (big distance in oncoming lane of free road). Now i know what i need to do a slowpoke scoot.

And the same for the "what if's" as i'm coming down from a passing speed.

Can we help it if our cars go soooo fast with such lil gas pedal?
