Hi everyone, I have been lurking on this site for a while now gettin all kinds of good info on my new ride, thank u everyone. Unfortunately my first post is a very sad one. I have had my black ss for a little over a month now and loved every minute of it. I had all kinds of plans for mods, the only one i accomplished was tinted front windows, which looked great. Well yesterday my boyfriend and I were in a pretty bad accident with it, we are both ok but man was it scary. A big red dodge ram drove into our lane and came at us head on. The car in front of us swerved to the right and then i swerved to the left. He missed the car in front and hit us on the front passenger side and swiped us all the way down the passenger side. Both the front air bags went off and the side passenger air bag. On star never came on though, not sure why but i might have to give them a call. I wont know till monday if its totalled or not. Im guessing it will be because the front axle appeared to be very bent. I am so upset. I cant believe my new car is demolished and I dont know if I will be able to find one to replace it.
I will try and post some pics, if i can figure it out.

i figured it out. the last one is the truck that hit us. I asked the cops what he said, why he was in our lane and all they could say was he was born in 1929, to old to be driving I guess.

Sorry to see that. I got run off the road 3 days after I got my SS. Cell Phone driving idiot.

While the photo's look bad it really dose not look as bad as it could have been head on.

Once they get some of the panels off they will know if they can save it. It is hard to peg if the will total a car anymore just for the hidden things and small things that add up.

My airbags and seat belts alone were expensive. Your belts would have gone off too with the gas tensioners.

 

I love that car but I am really hoping they total it. I dont want them to try and fix it and then it never run the same again. Ur right I will find a new one, just gotta do some searching.

 

That is sadto hear. Did it happen during those nasty thunderstorms last night? I got caught delivering pizzas for good hour during the heavy downpours. Visability was only a couple of feet here in the Roseville/Fraser area. I know south of Detroit got hit really bad. Glad to see you are alright though.
