My longest SS trip to date is coming up

So far I haven't traveled more than about an hour and a half in the SS. Next week I drive from NJ to Pittsburgh and back, which is going to be about 700 miles round trip. I'm wondering how comfy I'm going to be, or if I'm going to have to pull over and get out every couple hours?

I don't think so... I have had a lot less comfortable cars to travel in that's for sure! I drove ours all the way out to Wyoming and also Boston, and it was great! I am very happy with the ride, other than the 18's make you feel the bad roads more...

im about to make a 1900 mile round trip in 3 weeks.. i hope my hhr holds up and does well

I drove from Victoria, BC, Canada to San Francisco, then Nevada, and back and my HHR SS was pretty comfy. I did some 6-hour stints without a problem. Some of the older sections of highway (you guys need to do some road work down there!) were pretty noisy and bumpy though, to the point where it wasn't worth having the stereo on. I averaged about 40 mpg (33 mpg for you Americans) driving mostly just above the speed limit, but there were stretches through the mountains where I was really gunning it and I left pretty much everyone in my dust. It was a fun trip!

The longest trip I have made in mine has been about 350 miles and it was pretty comfy. I just made a 1000 mile trip from San Antonio to Phoenix however the SS rode on a trailer and i was stuck driving my in-laws PT cruiser . The SS would have been much more comfortable.

on the longer drives i often have trouble haing my wallet in my back pocket, makes my leg fall asleep, and my butt hurts. I have this problem on a lot of cars though.

other then that our hhr does great on the 6 hour one way back and forths to michigan

1500 mile trip

My wife and I just made a 1500 mile round trip from Gilroy, CA to Phoenix, AZ after installing the Eibach Pro Kit. The wife even commented a few times how comfortable the HHR was. Averaged about 31 mpg including going thru LA with holiday traffic. We don't own the SS but this was alot of fun driving thru the Grapevine north of LA and thru Pacheco Pass between Los Banos and Gilroy. Love our HHR. Life is short, enjoy the ride!

my longest trip was from nv to wi (roudntrip). the only part sucks i was driving by myself and driving high altitude around 9k(parts of colorado) makes your car feel sluggish and getting speeding ticket (90 in 75 zone) almost got away from the state trooper! lol..haha..

I love taking trips in my HHR it amazes me how stable these little boogers are at 100+ Mph, I have no shaking at all, besides the wind noise I can barely tell how fast im going.

well i drove from my town to Tucson, AZ which is about 650 miles one way, and we made the drive in one shot, aside from gas stops, and it wasn't too bad, just got real hot because it was the beginning of august lol.
