My SS has been goofy the past 2 days

and I mean really really goofy.

crap, she's been fine until now.

Start her up, the idle is everywhere. 500-1500 rpm's, nearly stalling at the lower end and that's in neutral with the radio on and no interior fan. The idle is really rough, as in a ton of misfires rough.

Almost stalls pulling to a red light. Dog off the line, even trying to spin the wheels.

Then tonight, she's fine. Smooth as silk.

3100 miles.

I'll see how she is tomorrow. If she's rough I'll stop at the dealer on the way to work.

Bad gas? She mimicks wattery gas. I have been stopping at a different gas station the past 3 fill ups than I usually do. the more I type this out, I really wonder if it is the gas......maybe I'll just toss a bottle of dry gas in. I did just go through this with my brothers boat when his battery failed and she took on A LOT OF WATER....

See how much help you guys are? (and yet I still post this anyway)

I'd go with the bad gas theory.

I have been having a similar issue over the past few weeks. One complete stall when driving normally and another when pulling away from a light. Throttle response off a standing start has also been a little weak at times.

Just had my first oil change althought I don't think that would be the cause. Could be bad gas as well as the problem also coincides with my last fill up.

My 02 Avalanche did that the night I went to pick up the Silver Surfer. It hadn't happened before then, and once I shut it down for about 45 minutes it was fine, even though I tried that earlier to no avail. The new mrs has had no issues with it. I think she was just throwing a tantrum because I was adding to the stable.

I had the same problem and it kept getting worse. There was a TSB on it regarding a bent pin in the fuse block during manufacturing.

Once they replaced it the problem has gone away.

Make sure you get good gas. Stage 1 requires premium unleaded fuel.

^^ Same gas as usual (premium). I will run the tank dry before the next fill up and hopefully that will solve the issue. Thanks!
