If one were to get an aftermarket tune, would the dealer turn you away for service since your car/engine is not "stock"?
Also, will dealers still install the GM stage 1 kit if purchased from Crate Engine depot?
TIA

Most HHR's are already out of warranty. So the dealerships don't care what tuning you do.
K&N aftermarket intake is probably the best choice on a turbo you can make. IMO the HP tune with dyno is also the best tune you can do. These two things should be the first upgrades to make. It will put so much noticeable power to your SS Hands down. You will have so much fun with your new found power, you won't be able to keep your foot out of it. fun fun! :)

Right, but will the dealership refuse to work on your engine if it's tuned/flashed with something other than the GM Stage 1 at this point? With my scion, if I had suspension issues, the Toyota dealer would refuse to work on it since I had lowering springs...
Why would you WANT to pay dealership labor? The techs don't know anything any other tech don't.
All of those training certificates on the wall just mean paid vacation time.
The first step in every diagnostic in the book is: check for after market equipment. Sometimes it says to remove it.

My SS has a lot of aftermarket things done as you can see in my signature below.
I go to the Chevrolet dealer all the time and they have no problem working on my car.
Suspension may be a different story all aftermarket parts, sits to low and they probably cant put it on their racks. a tune is done through the computer so if you need a new water pump that wont stop them from replacing it. Only problem with a tune is if they have to re-flash the computer, you will have to reflash your tune. that should not be an issue

p013e codes-tune?
I wanted to get in on this also.
My question is that with my zzperformance exhaust goodies and the gmtu, I get that annoying p013e code .
Can I combine another tune with the gmtu to get rid of that code ? Or do I just live the with cel.

Since the commonly listed possible causes of the code you are getting are:
- Faulty Heated Oxygen Bank 1 Sensor 2
- Heated Oxygen Bank 1 Sensor 2 harness is open or shorted
- Heated Oxygen Bank 1 Sensor 2 circuit poor electrical connection
- Inappropriate fuel pressure
- Faulty fuel injectors
- Intake air leaks may be faulty
- Exhaust gas leaks
(Read more: P013e Chevrolet HO2S Delay Response Rich to Lean Bank 1 Sensor 2 OBDII Engine Light Trouble Code | Engine-Codes.com)
... the answer would be most likely NO.
It would be best to diagnose and resolve your current problem BEFORE making any further "performance" changes.
Have you delved into what might be causing the code?

Not knowing anything about zzperformance exhaust goodies, does it take the cat out of play?
