I just got back from Washington DC after being there over this past weekend. I love driving my SS on long trips. I drove from North Carolina and back again. I saw lots of HHR's but never saw another SS the entire time. Not during either drive or while in town. I know they are rare, but I expected to see at least one.
Any one else experience something like that? I was kind of hoping to see another on the road.

 

Yup. I drive to NJ and DE all the time and never see other SS's besides the one 4 miles from my house. With what 8,000 total made it is not that supprising.

 

On my way to North Carolina a few months ago i saw a couple SS's, here's a pic of one i saw.

 

Same experience here. Never see any and roll 70 miles round trip daily. Lots of normal HHRs though.

 

I see one or two every so often up my way. There's a black AA5 SS that's owned by what I call a 'soccer mom'- saw her at the local car wash w/ her teens in tow. The other I haven't seen in a while, a silver ice '09 or '10.

 

Around where I live, I usually see several a day. When I leave this area, it's rare to see them.

 

I've driven from Maryland's eastern shore down to Greensboro, Raleigh, Sanford, and Fayetteville, NC on many trips in my SS and never saw another once off the shore. I see several up and down rt 13 from Seaford, DE - Salisbury, MD from time to time.

 

I know of 4 here in the slower lower Ive seen including a silver one over in Rehoboth today....a gazillion non SS types though!

 

Saw a silver one yesterday just west of Akron. If you are here wash it as it was very dirty.

 

But the dealer told them "silver doesn't show the dirt"
