New GM 2.0 FWD Turbo starting production

Looks like its starting up.

The new 2.0 turbo for the FWD application such as the Cobalt and HHR are being mass made right now. I work at a supplier that produces the manifolds for these engines (and many other big 3 engines, including prototype engines) and these engines are in the sampling mode right now and are being shipped off to the engine plants. The worst manifold we have to constuct (that I wish would die is the 3.5L duratec ford). I'll keep the updates rolling if there are any secret General Motors engines going into production.

I love this quote from mbukukanyau one of the members on there:
Should't you be keeping your mouth shut to help the company control the way information on products is disseminated?
Ever heard the saying, loose mouths and lips sink ships? That also works for companies.
to which jman196, the original thread starter replies:
Neah the engines aren't really secretive, if there was a prototype they wanted hidden they would make sure of that...
yet at the beginning of the quote he states:
...I'll keep the updates rolling if there are any secret General Motors engines going into production.
There's prolly no harm done here, since the word is out GM is making this engine, but I have to wonder if the guy is sharing other secret info with someone like say Toyota? We'll never know...

That really depends on the dealer and your relationship with them.

My dealer, today, asked if I was interested in ordering an SS. It would be delivered in his initial group.

Vehicle pricing, at this time, is not an issue since GM will dictate my pricing. I declined, because I have something else in mind.
