FYI to all interested in this mod. I just priced all of the parts on www.gmpartsdirect.com and they totaled $169.66. If I cannot get these parts cheaper through a couple friends that work at GM then I can going to order them here. G.B.

so the 2 F-Plates and the F-Spacer are the $14 washers and $45 locking washer (looks like) I see in the pic? Those 3 bits can surely be found at Lowe's or most any hardware store for about $3 I'd think.

Awesome...I got to do this...

This is great...I got my SS 2 weeks ago, and I was wondering if I could somehow put in some kind of armrest.

A question...Where do all the "washers" go? Also, how long did this take? I would think not too long.

Good stuff!!!

AS THE WASHERS GO I COULD NOT FIND AN EXACT DIAGRAM IF HOW THEY WENT SO I HAD TO TRY IT SEVERAL DIFFERENT WAYS, BASICLY I PUT ALL THE WASHERS ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE ARM REST (the bolt is made to tighten all the way to the plate the washer provides tension) WITH THE BENT WASHER ON LAST. SO I PUT 3 WASHERS ON THE BOLT THEN DROPED IT IN THE ARMREST AND TIGHTENED TO THE PLATE AND IT WAS DONE.

HOPE THAT HELPS

Does the armrest fold up or is it locked in place?

I had a buddy of mine that works at a Pontiac dealership order all of the parts for me with his employee discount yesterday. Everything was in stock except for the actuall armrest. It was not that much cheaper than ordering from GM parts direct but I will not have to pay any freight though.
