Next up, install Pedders springs[after this weekend], then front splitter, and racing stripe to match wheel lips. Think I'll leave it along after that.
Can't believe the looks I've been getting this morning, driving around. Lot more intrest in the ole hoop now. "Moon"

Hey Guys-

just went out and and snapped this.

after my install the bottom of the coil was sitting on top of the plastic nipple thats in the middle of the spring... you can see a faint red line where they were sitting.

Pedders told me to go over a few speed bumps... so I did. this only popped the spring on about 1/2 down and that is where it sat.

that was about 3/4" from the bottom. thats when I took them back out and pressed the plastic spacer in the rest of the way in a vice

mistermike: now that you mentioned the scoop. I just went by Maier racing a few hours ago, and saw a bigger more appealing scoop, that I am going to install in place of the current one. The scoop will be installed before I paint the racing stripe on, then I'll add the front splitter. After the lowering and the above things, it should be pretty much finished[Ha. Ha.]. Also just painted the SS's on the doors Red to match the other ones. "Moon"

Is the new scoop, a shaker style like your drawing? there are one or two HHR's running that style. Rims and tires look nice!

foolmoon: scoop is front facing,a little taller, wider and little longer. I'm pretty much stuck with some sort of scoop, as I drilled six holes in the hood to mount this one.
The new one will be screwed on also.
Guess with my new design, I'll have to draw up another sig...Huh? "Moon"

Love the wheel and like the crossed flags too. For a while now I have been looking to add some emblem to just show this is no ordinary SS.

I did a little search and found almost the same flags.

Here's the link for crossed flags

Just a little pricey $79

I also found a link to custom emblems a fair amount for GM
