Smile New owner -2008 SS 5spd

Well, I did it. 2008 SS 5 spd with 13k miles on it. Yes, I went with black on black. The best color you love to hate but it looks soooooo good and even the wife said it had to be black. A few small rock chips in the front but that was to be expected.

I want to say thanks to everyone that answered my questions and helped me in my search. I really appreciate it and enjoy being part of the forum.

Very cool, for what it is worth, My SS, even with some significant mods and pretty hard driving has been problem free after some initial glitches, now approaching 40,000 miles. So, your mileage is probably perfect for a purchase as any problems would have surfaced by now and been fixed. Guarantee this will be one of the most fun to drive cars you have ever owned. If you get the kit and loan it to anyone (like your wife) you really do need to warn them about the torque (scared my wife, and she said I should have warned her how much power it had).

NICE COLOR AND YEAR!!! (but I'm absolutely biased of course, because I have the exact same set-up)... Keep 'er clean and it'll always catch some eyes... I have almost 15k mi on mine and not even a stitch of any problem. Many happy miles!

Welcome Terry. You are going to love your commute in your SS.

http://www.crateenginedepot.com/index.aspx has the Stage 1 kits for $485 now. Although I just paid $500 for mine at my local Chevy dealer.

Carol and I drove it about 150 miles today (town and up in the mountains). I am not sure Stage 1 is necessary at this point! But of course, neither was the LNF!

Where are you and what did you spend if you don't mind my asking?
