New SS question
New SS question
Trying to decide on a new SS.There are a few around and was wondering how much over invoice is common with these models.
Ive only owned GM cars and need a new commuter car for the city (Manhattan) to ease the 80 mile one way drive.
How does the SS handle in rain or snow?
Due to the fact that GM dosent have an AWD model, its either the SS or an Impreza.
Hell I am amazed at some of the salesmen in this area. How can you be in the buisness of sales and know so little about your product?Ive called dealers yesterday and was told "They arent in production untill April"
I drove one last week........
Thanks for the info.

over invoice? .... we got ours last month for almost 4k under sticker. dealers are hurting, walk away if you aren't getting that much off sticker or more.
I see you are in NY, we are in NC and bought ours in NJ, still havent seen one on the road in NC yet.
Good luck.

Zero over invoice and as far back of it as you can. This weekend is the time to buy. It is the end of the first quarter. All GM dealerships have quotos to meet to receive this enormous amount of what is called SFE money and I bet most are way behind in sales. If you or anyone wanted to go and buy on YOUR terms this would be the weekend to do it. My dealership needs 40 sales by midnight Monday and they are really pushing. I bet they would go back $1000 or more to sell one. The amount of money they lose by not hitting their number is TOO big for them to not make it.
ChevyMgr, if my dealer had to order a SS would it count as a sold unit in this quarter’s quota to qualify for SFE?
Thanks much!
I havent really seen any dealer sell for much below invoice price. So far I have got around $24,900 on an SS that stickers for $25825.That is before rebate and GM card cash.I know that they will come down a bit more but not that much.
It is a cash deal with no trade,so I was suprised that the initial offer wasnt better. There are threee or four dealers who have them in stock.Ill work on them a bit.

Try getting quotes via the web. This is the quote I got (and got others that were similar). I purchased a slightly different SS but got the exact same discount. The final cost was $200 under invoice plus $2000 in rebates.

Well I just returned from a third dealer. His price was around $500 over invoice. The second dealer was $506 over. These numbers are under edmunds TMV prices by around $100.Im not sure where you guys are finding these deals but I ve hit around 4 dealers with web prices and three local with the same area of figures.Must have been a winter sale or something.Up here these SS's are just showing up in showrooms and most have 1 or less to offer.

to the best place for anything
I don't have an SS, but I'm sure some turbo owners will chime in soon.
