If you are losing your brakes ever morning you should *DEFINITELY* have the brake system checked.

I'm glad mine doesn't do that. I have to park on an uphill slope right now, so I'd probably end up rolling backward down my driveway while stomping the brake pedal and rolling backward through the street and into the bushes on the other side. Yikes!

I think you may be misinterpreting "extended period of time" ... that could easily be a couple of days. Rather than point to a leak or other part failure, the prudent thing to do would be to address the published TSB on "brake problems" first. After all... it could be a wedding ring stuck in the master cylinder that's blocking proper fluid flow, that got dropped in during assembly at the factory... but most people wouldn't start there when a simpler, and known problem has been documented.

I've had a recurring nightmare throughout my life, along these lines. In my dream I'm in some car going in reverse at a pretty fast speed down the road trying to steer with my head all cranked around to look back. I keep stabbing the brakes but they don't slow the car down, I can feel them trying to grab but the engine surges and overpowers them. I don't have this dream that much anymore.

Any Jr. Sigmund Freuds' want to take a shot at that one?

Ok, I took it in to the dealer and they were very quick to take it in and check it even though there was a line of cars ahead of me. i told them about the TSB, and they reprogrammed the ABS/VSC module. I will let you know if it does it again or not. but it did do it again today before i took it to the dealer.

Oh by the way. when i saw the line of cars i told the service adviser that i would bring it back later and he said "I cant let you leave with the car if there is a known braking problem for insurance reasons" so to all out there who have the same issue let it be known that chevy DOES NOT think it is normal and it is considered dangerous.

Ive been seeing a lot of posts about this issue and I have to say I have never had this problem, and I'm the kind of guy who gets in starts up and starts to drive right away. So maybe theres something wrong with it. seems kinda weird.

You feel guilty for not buying a backup camera?

Actually savello, your service advisor does not think it is normal.Chevy has seen the problem and addressed that issue with a service bullitin for a fix. If that reprogram doesn't fix your car, I would take it back and let them know. Mi car does this every morning and will get in to program soon.

Is this only an issue on SS's and other 2008's or something, because my 2007 has never done this.
