Number and colors manufactured

Recently purchased a new 2010 HHR SS and was wondering if there is a site the gives the total number of SS's manufactured along with the total for the various colors offered. We belong to a Mazda Miata club and I know that Mazda makes that info available via a web site.

Well I was going to get the guy at GM I know to get the numbers for 2010 but he is not in his same job. I will have to poke around elsewhere and see if I can get someone to get them for me.

Wait in the 2010 there was only one option available as far as the interior which is the black/black. Am i right or not?

Colors wise you got your black, silver, red, blue (BFM), the dark blue and in a very rare ocasion the orange

Correct.Only 1 interior color on a 2010 SS. Exterior had 2 red color choices but there was no orange available. Also you got a sunroof and RPD as standard equip.

5-speed

One of the great things about the SS is the high percentage of 5-speed manual transmissions due buyers' desire for performance. Particularly so since SS was detuned to work with the automatic. There are also a lot of 5-speed low-option LS due to low price. Unfortunately, the price/performance/option point I wanted was 2LT, and any flavor of LT with a stick is a truly rare (special order) bird!

The percentage of SS in 08-09 with 5 speeds are about 1/4 of the production in 08 and 09. The average 5 speeds for all other HHRs is about 4. I would expect the same for 10. These numbers are about average for most cars still with the option of either.

You often see them on dealer lots as they are the last ones to sell pretty often. It is a tough market to sell a manual anymore. Between people not knowing how to drive one and the need to be on a cell phone have over ridden the shifting on your own. Also traffic in many cities often make them difficult for many to just enjoy.

Heck many Ferraris anymore are semi manual.

My baby sat on a lot in Connecticut for almost a year. They couldn't sell it because of the fact it's a manual.

I got a great deal on it though..

iirc BFM was no longer available in 2010.. but I could be wrong.

You are correct. I tried 5 different dealers in my area before I bought the silver and all of them said no blue flash metallic for the 2010's. It was my first color choice when I went looking to buy.
