Oddness......
Resale around here the last I checked on the SS was not bad. Many here were getting advertised at $17K-20K for one with less than 50,000 miles. I laughed at the $20K one as I did not pay much more new. The sad or good part is they sold it for not much less.
If there is 150 for sale nation wide that means there is an average 3 per state for sale. Not exactly what I would call a lot. Also factor in there were prob 9K-12K built there not what I call a fire sale.

The heavily used car market is pretty healthy right now. I was looking for a clunker to buy my daughter who started college this past fall. Even cars with over 100K miles are still not that cheap. The cheapest you can buy a car in the 100K mile range is about $5K.
Based on a $400 per month car payment, that cost someone almost $5K per year. I don't think my SS is dropping that much value per year at this point. If that were the case, my 08 SS would be worth nothing after 5 years, and that clearly isn't the case. So selling my SS before its value drops too much is not an avenue I'm pursuing.

The cool thing is the SS will always be the most valuable HHR there is. We will always get more at sale time vs a non SS. The real key was did you buy smart to start with.
I got a great price on mine when I bought it so I will take much less of a hit vs some of the prices I saw many others here paid. Those who bought used will also do well since most got better prices.

I'll be looking to sell mine probably in a year or so.
Had it for 15 months so far, 28k miles on it (I converted it :P) absolutely love it, puts a smile on my face everyday!
BUT - Can't haul my 3500lbs ski boat around, and when my buddy sells his truck I will have no other option. Duramax here I come
