Just (today) sold my Ford F150 Lightning (great truck but very thirsty) and will be visiting a GM dealer next week to test drive (again) an SS and placing my order for an SS Panel in Victory Red.

QUESTION – what is the Performance Display option?

Smile I ordered my '09 SS on friday, 27 June.

I am getting the solid rear quarter panel. Aqua Blue Metallic with black cloth interior. Getting 5-speed and the roof rails and the "spotter mirror". Tried the XM delete, but that is for fleet orders only. But, the dealership has to wait for their next consignment allocation before they can order it. The sales rep. that I dealt with is also an HHR owner and was surprised to hear about the SOM delete, his HHR is that color. He told me he should be calling me about the 10th of July to tell me that my 'Smurfinator' is on order. Today was actually the first time I climbed into an HHR also. It was an '08 black on black SS with auto trans. and sun roof. Sure is smaller on the inside than it looks from the outside, but at 6'2" and 240 lbs. it is a comfortable fit for me. It might take awhile to get used to the pillars and smallish windows. But, I was ready for that. I also told the sales rep. that when my HHR arrives, I want the rear bumper scuff pad and the mud flaps installed.

Would you have ordered the Panel if you knew the AA5 was available with the SS? I am very biased. The AA5 is so obviously a much better looking vehicle than the stock HHR or the Panel!!!!!!

Talking Great News they picked my order

My salesman said the GM picked my order. Which is good news, they only picked up 25 out of the whole nation.

GM only allocates a certain amount to build at a time equipped the way you want it. Now I have to wait for the performance to arrive. That is the first week in August.

Danko - I also ordered the Panel and would, even if the AA5 option was available for the SS. Just love the look and IMO (and to each their own) an obviously better looking vehicle than the stock HHR.

Tingle - how did your dealer order the UAF Reconfigurable Performance Display? My dealer couldn't find the option on the GM system and being unaware of the feature (and no option listing) left me having to order the car without it. Any help would be appreciated.
