Ordered SS
Surprisingly, they handle well in the snow
I've been trying to pickup some 16" used steelies, but cant find cheaper ones.
So I drove the stock wheels, 1 to 2" of snow. went through fine. 2-4" of snow, TC kicked on but no problem, you just need to dodge the chunks that fall off other cars, you dont want to smash the front valance.
Also, a weird problem in the cold and ice. I parked for 2 days was down in the single digits.
I got on the highway to go to work and about 60MPH it felt like the wheels were gonna fall off, extreme shimmy.
I pulled over and made sure all my lugs were on, got to work, called GM roadside to send someone out with a 4way to make sure they were tight.
GM roadside said they will only tow it (sucks)
So i dug out the dumb little lug wrench and the lugs were tight.
So I figure the cold weather affected the tires to cause the problem, as on the way home everything was better after it warmed up in the low 30's.

I had the same thing happen on the way to NYC a couple of weeks ago. I was chatting to a friend about it and he said that sometimes ice will build up on the wheel and the balance will be off, thus the shimmy. I stopped at a car wash and sprayed off the slush and ice, no problem after that.

I think your SS will look awsome in that color.
Look forward to seeing yours at one of our gtg.
I hope to be in Buffalo on January 11 if all goes as planned. When is the next gtg?
