ouch dealer just told me that gm will not cover my leaking upper turbo pipe
I was shocked to hear this I totally trust the dealer just surprised that my extended gm best warranty will not cover this
Can anyone explain this a little better maybe ChevyMGR?
From what I was told the dealer punches in a certain code and its either comes up as being covered or not this unfortunately was not covered for parts or labor.

Extended warranties are usually pretty specific on what's covered, should be in the paperwork.

I understand that even though it is not truly a bumper to bumper warranty I at least thought that something like the turbo piping would certainly be covered.
Dealer said it was only covered 5 years or 50,000 miles
Its an 09 and I have 61,000 on it
I guess I need to find a list of what is covered and what is not again.
I do want to make it clear that this dealership is great to deal with just not too happy with Gm not covering this part.

I found in my research a while back that the GM best plan still had some short commings. As it turned out I didn't buy a plan at that time but I thought it was a bit of a let down.

Another issue is front and rear wheel bearings on 2010 and 2011 models.

Replace it with a metal one, or buy one of the stock ones from us who have them snaky critters just laying in the garage.

Seem to me that part is between the bumpers, might have your service writer try GM on a customer goodwill approach. Saved me 600.00 when my fan quit a couple miles after my coverage did. Paid 200 instead of 800. Never hurts to ask, especially if you have a good relation with the service Mgr.

Thanks for the offer looks like it may be covered afterall according to Chevymgr
if we are talking about the same part, I am trying to determine that.
it is the upper hot pipe that comes off of the turbo and goes up over the motor down to the intercooler about 3-4ft.
if anyone is looking to sell there stock,(non leaking one) please pm me to let me know what you would be looking to get for it.
thanks
