P0101 issue

I didn't want to say anything because I am having an issue with the car.

New LDK/LHU, upgraded fuel rail, Bosch TMAP sensors, all from ZZP. I got the ECM tune also from them based on these upgrades, and everything else stock.

I have been getting a P0101. It is occurring more and more frequently, sometimes several times on the way to/from work. I don't think it's the tune. I suspect that there is something wrong at the lower TMAP sensor.

It was awesome for awhile, and I hope it will be again once I find the problem. Working 6/12s, can't find any time.

RJ the P0101 indicates a problem with the MAF sensor,

any chance the air filter oil contaminated the MAF ?
is it possible the MAF connector is loose or damaged at the pins?
it is plausible you simply need to clean the MAF or if that fails replace the MAF

Surprisingly it could have something to do with the throttle position sensor.

It limits the turbo. It started as an occasional occurrence, the CEL would come on and the turbo would be limited. Usually, later in the drive, it would "fix" itself, I.e. full turbo would come back.

It's gotten progressively worse. Now it still rarely sets the CEL, but even pending status limits the turbo, and it happens several times each way. It will not "fix" itself anymore.

I cleaned the MAF with the CRC MAF cleaner on Saturday, no help. I wanted to clean the lower TMAP sensor, but it was too hard to get to in the time that I had. I'll have to pull the upper radiator hose, and the coolant recovery tank, then I'll be able to get to it.

The air filter looked good.

How can I test these sensors? I'll get a DVOM if necessary.

On 10/24, I got to the lower TMAP sensor, and cleaned it with the MAF sensor cleaner. The next trip, it set a hard P0101, which I cleared, and a pending, which I cleared. Then there were no issues for the rest of that trip, and the next 3 trips.

Then the pending code started returning, again, more frequently the more I drove it.

I replaced the air filter on Nov. 1, and have had no issues since. Hopefully this fixed it, time, and driving, will tell.

Have fun driving the wheels off the SS while you’re test driving it.

Still no codes, it's fun to drive again! I'm calling it fixed!
