I agree. It would go with the whole theme you have going! Looks great!

I think it looks very good-nice personalized look.
The wheel treatment looks very unique-I hope it does hold up for you!

And "bonus points" for the fact that it cost under $20 bucks. That appeals to the DIY, cheapskate side of me as well.

Thumbs down

sorry, but you should have left the wheels alone, along w/ the grill. also you bought an SS to have an SS. why remove the badges? way to much of a ricer look.

Thanks for all the feedback folks. As for a how to for the wheels, its pretty straightfoward. The most important thing is to remember to sand down the clearcoat, then clean them good, tape off and paint. I used engine block paint for the heat and corrosion protection. They have held up pretty good throught the brake dust and tar so far.

+1. Painting the chrome black would really tie in nice with the window tint and black grill. I would go with the red bowtie though!

He did?

And for removing the badges, maybe because they're uglier than a man's ass

Yeah, I like them just b/c it says, "hey, this is no ordinary HHR!", but at the same time, they just don't go with my theme so I am seriously considering removing mine soon.

^^ Just put overlays on the existing SS badges. I have red on red and you don't notice the badges unless you're looking for them.
