Performance exhaust

I was wondering if anyone has added the GM performance exhaust to their HHR's? In general to all HHR's. What is the sound like? Not to thrilled of what Magnaflow is selling. Still sounds like a rice fart to me.

It's a 4 cylinder engine not much you can do to make it sound like anything other than a fart with aftermarket exhaust unless you want pony up some cash to do a drivetrain swap. If I had the cash I'd gut this thing and shoe horn a 572 big block in and pro street the rear.

I'd love to see you shoehorn a big block under that hood!

The GMPP Exhaust is acutally made by Borla.. It sounds ok, not loud enough for me at low RPM's. It has a Deeper Sound like the Magnaflow,Gibson.

These three are your best bet, unless you have alot of money. It is a 4 banger so yes it will still sound like a Indy car at High RPM's.

I just purchased the Magnaflow, hoping to have it installed this weekend. I've owned 2 Trucks both with V8's. There is nothing like a V8 Sound, But then again i don't miss 15mpg.

Yup, just put a 6.0L in my silveraldo with a nice big cam, mileage went from 16 to 12. 50 miles a day hurts. Hence, the very proud new owner of an HHR SS. But I dont think I can leave a good thing alone, I got the bug. Can get the GMPP system for less than 600. So I might go that route. I heard the Magnaflow adn it pops too much. I got pretty much open exhaust with a Flowmaster on the truck and not looking for loud. I can fire up the gas guzzler for that. Know what I mean?
