I believe you confirmed why I don't want to go to the track (aside from the 2 hr wait for a 13 second run).

That sucks, but I suppose if you wanna play, you gotta pay

I'm quite happy with my mild tune on the street, it feels very fast and knowing my real 1/4 mile time would probably not make me any happier

Sorry to hear the tranny went. Do you think the shop will fix it under warranty considering it is modded?

Definately!!! Like I said in an earlier post, I have seen all makes and models brake at the track. No car is bulletproof. Crazysteve is putting down alot of power and running slicks in a FWD vehicle which obviously puts a lot of stress on the tranny. Sounds like he has been running this setup for awhile at the track which attests to the HHR SS durability. I commend him for trying to get into the 12's on a stock turbo with no meth etc.

crazysteve, whats all done to your hhr? I'm quite interested, as you are not THAT far away from me and your car obviously runs its balls off. I want to try some slicks on my HHR, but I don't have any 17x8 rims available for the slicks I have sitting around. I ran a 14.1 on the stock tires with nothing but a little tuning and a really bad 60'. Would you mind posting up the #s from your timeslip and mods/hp/tq? If you don't want to let out any secrets, thats cool, I understand.

Slicks are actually the best for fwd they take most of the shock dr's like I was using do not so wheel hop can happen. Should have it replaced this week end we have an extra one at the shop then I will building a better on from the cobalt gearing
