Since the HHR SS is retro....

I decided to see what it would look like wearing a 1973 New York State license plate.



I have a whole collection of old license plates from previously owned vehicles from NY, NJ and PA. This one was worn by a 1972 VW Beetle (also red), owned by my dad.

Notice the salesman put the temp tag on upside down. I can't wait to get rid of that, since the rear has such little visibility to begin with.

Could they put a BIGGER sticker over the back window! . . . LOL . .

Looks just like mine!

Illinois gives you a cardboard lisence plate, much better than the sticker.

Yes, but then it would be a safety issue... not like the one they use now that only blocks HALF of the driver's rear view.

Rear visibility is almost zero with that stupid temp tag. Ugh.

in mississippi we dont have any kind of drive out tag or temp tag all we get is the paper to get the title and real plates
