Skirts or Moulding?

Skirts or Moulding?
I've seen them here referred to as running boards or side skirts. Ya know, I've never seen documentation of either here.
My window sticker says this
-ROCKER MOLDINGS, SPORT
The recently linked PDF shows (on page 20) https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/comm...log-pdf-59733/
Moulding, Rocker
Panel SS and SS GM P/N
R 19167131
L 19167132
Which is supported by wholesalegmpartsonline(WGMPO), the only part numbers I could find for AU46(SS) https://www.wholesalegmpartsonline.c...earchTerm=step
That is a search for "step", the results in that search that are labeled "running board" are not for AU46.
A search for "rocker" turns up the same results, plus a bunch of unrelated results.
A search both there and in the PDF for "skirt" come up basically empty.

I noticed that oldblue has a rubber insert on his running boards. It actually is a step.
I think "running boards" is actually a slang term in origin. You can run along side the car and jump on.

There is a "Step Rail Kit" factory installed, and a "Running Board Kit" dealer installed, listed in the PDF. They seem to be used interchangeably at WGMPO. But they are not for SS.
They may have been called "side skirts" in GM literature or maybe only by reviewers or magazines. If someone has documentation, post it up here!

My sticker says the same. ROCKER MOLDINGS, SPORT
I don't see a separate RPO number for these.
But. To confuse you some more, this is from the RPO list.
BVE Steps, Runningboard - Side
I guess that's the ones for the regular HHR's.

Yes, I saw that too. That makes sense, I do not have that RPO.

Mine came with the running boards from the factory, I have used them to wash the roof and my 3yr and 5yr old kids use them all the time, quite helpful.
The SS and Shadow Edition came with the sport skirts.
BVE sounds familiar, I can check the glovebox.
I have seen photos on here of an SS with the running boards, that would be my choice.
