As far as GTO sites go, I like this one. They are much more civil than LS1.com or LS2 forums:

Lol, I would love to have a GTO or a new Camaro, but here is some food for thought on your Jap-crap comment. My wife and I own 3 vehicles, a 94 Z-28, 08 HHR SS, and 08 Camry. I work for Toyota and the transmission in my wife's Camry was built where I work, then shipped to KY where the rest of the car was built. There are a lot of American working men making a living off of Camry sales. My 2 Chevy cars were built out of the country.....

I will always have a chevy, but I don't know that having a foriegn car is much different anymore.

Sorry to thread hijack, your new car is beautiful. If I just wasn't afraid to drive one out my road in the snow I would have to consider a similiar upgrade.

My 2 year old loves the car. When I take her to the Daycare in the morning, she say "Yay Daddy's Blue Car"!! LOL So freaking funny... So far it's an all around nice car. The short shifter I don't know about though. Gas mileage is pretty good too.

Congrats. I had a GTO before the SS. Great cars. Nothing beats the fun of the LS, and a nice v8. :)

Freeway I see about 29 MPG avg and around town I see about 19 mpg avg. My best I've seen was 31 mpg doing 80 mph freeway. Funny the faster you go the better the mileage

Which shifter is it? There's been a lot of problems with the B&M units, mostly with bolts or the shifter itself shearing and breaking free.
