Speedometer

I’ve saw a lot of ss models with a speedometer that only goes up to 140. Mine goes to 220. My question is. Is this a special one or what!

Welcome
You most likely have a Canadian sold SS. Those have the speedo in kilometers per hour.

In the DIC you should be able to switch from English to metric. You have a Canadian issued SS

Carfax, Autocheck, or any GM dealer (for free) should be able to look up the history on your VIN, at minimum where it was originally delivered, and probably some idea of where it’s been since. Considering you’re in Texas, could it have come from Mexico?

All HHR’s came from Mexico factory.
if you post a photo of the RPO code sticker in the glove box. We can decipher it!
